Hi, I am in the process of thinking about building a car port out of wood to place on concrete. First of all I thought about using the metal square post holders that you can screw into concrete.
Then I was told it would be better to make holes in the concrete to a depth of 30-60cm and concrete the posts in that way.
After that I saw metal "stilts" with brackets to hold the foot of the posts to raise the wood away from the floor.
Does anyone have any advice on which of the 3 methods above might be best for my application in the UK?
I will take a photo to upload as soon as I can.
